HR GENERALIST

SHIFT: Part Time Flexible Hours, Exempt 7:00AM – 5:30PM
Monday through Thursday (Hours TBD)
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Minimal Travel (less than 5%)
RELOCATION COST: Not Paid
COMPENSATION: $25 - $35 Per Hour DOE
LOCATION: On-site - Riverside, CA (not remote work)

Phenix Technology, Inc. is seeking a dynamic individual seeking a part-time HR Generalist to join our dedicated team. This role requires a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace and involves managing a range of human resources functions including recruitment, employee relations, employee onboarding and offboarding, and compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
• Support the leadership team in implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
• Coordinate with external HR consultants.
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
• Manage the development and implementation of human resources policies.
• Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital to include overview and development of training initiatives.
• Nurture a positive working environment by ensuring health, safety, and welfare compliance.
• Handling Workers Compensation claims for on the job injury or illnesses from cradle to grave.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years of experience proven experience as an HR Generalist or relevant human resources role.
• Understanding of California human resources laws, policies, and procedures.
• Good knowledge of employment/labor laws.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft outlook 365 office suite.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Attention to details and timelines.

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

• BSc/BA in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or Business Management
• Outstanding knowledge of MS Excel; HRIS systems will be a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to do the following:

• Frequently required to sit, walk and talk or hear; use hands to handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee must occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Vision should be correctable to accurately read small font writing.
