The Phenix TL-2 Miller 1884 helmet is a modern interpretation of the classic 64-cone corrugated fire helmet, paying homage to the original design introduced in 1884 by F.J. Miller. This helmet combines traditional aesthetics with contemporary safety standards, offering firefighters a lightweight and durable option. -
- Crafted from top-grade vegetable-tanned leather, the TL-2 Miller features a 64-cone corrugated shell, reminiscent of historic firefighter helmets. The commemorative 9/11 filigree design adds a respectful tribute to the helmet's heritage.

In 1884, F.J. Miller produced a catalog for the Fire Department of New York entitled, "Fred J. Miller's Fire Apparatus and Fire Department Supplies New York 1884." The catalog featured a "64 cone" helmet that was referred to as "The lightest, strongest, most handsome, and most comfortable hat yet invented." Essentially, it was described perfectly aligned for Phenix Leather Helmets, and thus, the TL-2 Milller was born. Compliant to current OSHA and NFPA 1971 standards. The TL-2 Miller helmet is available in various colors, including red, white, blue, yellow, black, and flat black. Custom colors and natural finishes are also available upon request for an additional cost.
