Quality Technician

QUALITY TECHNICIAN

SHIFT: Monday - Thursday 7 AM - 5:30 PM

COMPENSATION: $38,000 - $46,000

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in receiving, in-process, and final inspections
  • Work with the customer experience team or responsible parties on incoming RMA’s
  • Ensure RMA’s are processed according to the RMA policy
  • Assist with and maintain flow of all customer RMAs, including all necessary investigation
  • Work closely to record and document all necessary information to follow company procedures
  • Manage the non-conforming product area and ensure that all non-conforming products are properly documented and handled
  • Assist shipping coordination with quality assurance and shipping processes as needed
  • Assist in process audits to identify and resolve weaknesses
  • Assist in data collection and analysis ensuring effective, relevant information is obtained
  • Continuously improve processes throughout the organization and as identified from analyzed data
  • Assist with training development, change management, process improvement implementation, and effectiveness evaluations
  • Provide reports on quality and actions taken to address issues
  • Assist with international compliance as needed
  • Participate, engage, and lead teams in workgroups providing compliance guidance and maintaining a continuous improvement focus
  • Work with marketing as needed to ensure quality products are available to ship as directed
  • Performs related duties as required
  • Participate in special project work, such as (but not limited to) market research, sales trend analysis, marketing, product testing, quality assurance, lean and continuous improvements
  • Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization’s mission and help execute growth plans

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent work experience
    • Knowledge of office software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, QuickBooks, and Adobe
    • Outstanding communication skills (written, oral, and interpersonal)
    • Expected to be on time and able to maintain a high attendance record
    • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Excellent prioritization and time management skills
    • Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
    • Able to balance attention to detail with big-picture thinking
    • Flexible, comfortable with change, and able to maintain a positive and infectious attitude
    • Self-motivated, practical, results oriented, positive attitude with a high level of integrity and professionalism
    • Written and verbal communication-the ability to talk to others and convey information effectively
    • Service oriented, social perceptiveness, and reading comprehension
    • English Language -- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
    • Active Listening -- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times

    IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

    • Knowledge of office software including Adobe, Therefore, Visio and other data analysis platforms
    • Experience in ISO 9001 and other related quality standards
    • Bilingual language skills
    • 2+ years of quality experience
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form strong relationships with staff in a supportive confidential role
    • Have a strong knowledge of a lean manufacturing and a culture of lean
    • Working knowledge and use of six sigma tools
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Experience and interested in internal and external communications, and partnership development
    • Experience in project management
