Why Do We Hire Veterans?

Why hire a veteran? Veterans bring so many wonderful qualities to the workforce: leadership, teamwork, dedication, and resiliency. Veterans also bring more work experience to the table than the average college students. They have served cross-culturally which allows them to thrive in diverse work environments. Phenix is lucky to employ several veterans and immediate family members of veterans, and we hope to add more veteran service members to our family in the near future.

On this day in 1990, President George H.W. Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) into law. The ADA prohibits discrimination and guarantees that people with disabilities will have access to the same opportunities as everyone else and be able to participate in life just as any other American - employment opportunities, the ability to purchase goods and services, and the ability to participate in both State and local government programs and services.
