Industrial Paint Technician

INDUSTRIAL PAINT TECHNICIAN 

Employment Type: Full-Time, Non Exempt
Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Travel: Minimal (less than 10%) Occasional travel may be required, including day trips, overnight, and out-of-state travel.
Location: Riverside, California (On-site)
Salary: $20 - $24 per hour DOE

What You'll Do

Assembly & Painting

· Assemble fire helmets and related components according to work instructions, specifications, and quality standards.

· Prepare, paint, and finish helmet components using established processes and techniques.

· Identify defects, inconsistencies, or quality concerns and take appropriate corrective action.

· Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment.

· Read and follow work instructions, production orders, and standard operating procedures.

Painting & Finishing

  • Apply coatings using HVLP spray equipment.
  • Perform touch-up work.

Quality & Production

  • Identify defects, inconsistencies, or quality concerns and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality.
  • Maintain production documentation.

Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S and Lean principles.
  • Identify opportunities to improve paint quality and efficiency.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone with:

  • 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, production, painting, finishing, or a related hands-on environment.
  • Experience operating HVLP spray equipment or similar industrial spray systems.
  • Experience performing quality inspections and identifying finish defects.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout a 10-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

The following are preferred but not required:

 Experience painting or finishing products in a manufacturing environment.

● Experience with paint preparation, including sanding, masking, cleaning, and surface preparation.

● Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.

● Familiarity with 5S principles.
