INVENTORY LEAD

SHIFT: Full Time 7:00AM - 5:30PM Mon - Thur
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Minimal Travel (less than 10%)
RELOCATION COST: Not Paid
COMPENSATION: $68,000 - 80,000 DOE
LOCATION: On-site - Riverside, CA (not remote work)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inventory Lead to oversee our purchasing and inventory operations. The Inventory Lead will be responsible for the purchasing, receiving and accuracy of inventory to ensure efficient and effective operations that meet our quality standards and production goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure team understands roles and responsibilities as it relates to the team and core Phenix principles. Encourages joint problem solving, personal safety, and individual development.

  • Supervise and evaluate performance of inventory personnel. Coach, counsel, train and develop employee skills while enhancing your own.
  • Manage and maintain employee adherence to all safety practices/processes.
  • Manage all aspects of the inventory cycle and personnel (Purchasing, Receiving, Scheduling, Picking, Cycle Counting, Monthly Physical Inventory)
  • Ensure accuracy of BOM in inventory system and make changes as necessary.
  • Perform all the purchasing functions for the facility.
  • Develop work schedules, prioritize and manage work assignments to ensure company, customer, and department goals are achieved.
  • Work with existing and explore new suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and make agreements or contracts for purchasing.
  • Ensure receipt of products is accurate and that the material meets the quality standards and parameters of the organization.
  • Analyze reports in our inventory system to assess and forecast material requirements for future production needs.
  • Utilize, participate, and improve the organizations Kanban process
  • Monitor accuracy of monthly inventory and put in place corrective actions for large discrepancies and deviations.
  • Provide input in development of strategic manufacturing plans to achieve company objectives.
  • Participate in special project work, such as (but not limited to) sales trend analysis, product testing, quality assurance, lean and continuous improvements.
  • Develop KPI’s for departmental goals and measurements for departmental output
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive financial experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Willing to embrace our Lean culture
  • Willing to make suggestions and drive improvements daily
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to provide updates to upper management
  • Engaged in your own personal and professional development
  • Accurate and attentive to detail with excellent documentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proven experience as an inventory management leader
  • Deep knowledge of inventory and purchasing processes and standards
  • Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
  • Outstanding communication ability
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and a results-driven approach.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system standard
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Have a positive and supportive attitude.
  • Well-developed time management and multitasking skills.
  • English Language -- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Active Listening -- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics.
  • Time management, service orientation, social perceptiveness, and reading comprehension.

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive financial experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in an area related to management or extensive (10+ years) experience in inventory management and supervision
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience leading a team
  • Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing principals/5S/8 deadly wastes, six sigma, EOS
  • The ability to work independently and meet goals autonomously
  • Proficiency with Therefore, Monday, and Fishbowl Inventory Software.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, or Vietnamese.
